The Brewers are Closing in On The Cubs and Jim's Not Worried

Ryan Braun: .288, 24 Home Runs, 71 RBI's in 97 Games.

Alfonso Soriano: .283, 15 Home Runs, 40 RBI's in 51 Games.

That is why I'm not worried about the Brewers, when the Cubs have had Soriano in their line-up they've won. Soriano comes off the DL today or Thursday and when that happens the Cubs will get a big bat at the top of their line up without having to give anything up.

The Cubs are 3rd in the National League in team ERA, second in Saves, fifth in Strike Outs and first in Batting Average Against.

The team can pitch and when Soriano returns, they can hit too.

Take this as food for thought...the Cubs have been without Soriano for half of their season so far....and they're still in first place and have the second best record in all of baseball.

Where would the Brewers be without Braun?

I know injuries are part of baseball, so I"m not making excuses for the Cubs. What I am saying is that if a team can have the second best record in all of baseball without arguably their best bat....it stands to reason they're going to really separate from the pack when he returns.
